KALIHI, Hawaii (Island News) -- Police arrested a man during a domestic disturbance after he allegedly punched an officer in Kalihi overnight on Friday.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance involving a 31-year-old man on Matzie Lane in Kalihi just after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28. When officers approached the man, he became combative and then attacked two police officers.
The man pushed one of the officers and then punched another officer in the face, which caused them injuries. The man was arrested at the scene for first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and harassment on a law enforcement officer.
The injured officer was treated at the hospital and then released in good condition.
The suspect's charges in this case are pending further investigation.
