MACON, Ga. — Across Central Georgia , families traded door-buster deals for hand-held saws on Black Friday, heading to Christmas tree farms to cut their own trees.

The National Christmas Tree Association says between 25 and 30 million real Christmas trees are sold in the United States each year.

At Skipper Family Farms, the holiday spirit was in full swing.

“I love holidays. It's not even Thanksgiving anymore — it's Christmas now,” said visitor Wendee Loper.

For many, the trip isn’t just about choosing a tree. Kids and adults alike soaked in the sights, smells, and excitement of the season.
