An elderly man was rescued by firefighters after being pinned beneath a fallen tree or large limb in Ridgewood Friday, Nov. 28, incident reporter Boyd A. Loving said.

It happened on the property of a home on Mary Ann Place, Loving said. Ridgewood firefighters, EMS firefighters, and EMTs arrived with Ridgewood Police Patrol officers and quickly freed the victim, Loving said.

The patient was taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted with the evaluation, Loving reported.

The extent of the victim’s injuries was not released at the scene.
