At long last, the end of the 2025 college football season is on the verge of coming to an end in West Virginia.

Mercifully, perhaps, for both WVU and Marshall.

The end of the regular season on Saturday will conclude the seasons for the Mountaineers and possibly the Thundering Herd. Fans of those schools should be able to sit back on the couch and watch the other teams play conference championships and bowl games.

MU could win on Saturday and become bowl-eligible, but more about that in a bit.

WVU’s season will end regardless of what happens in Morgantown on Saturday when the Mountaineers host No. 5 Texas Tech at noon. The Big 12 contest will air on ESPN.

The Red Raiders (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) are 23.5-point favorites on the road. Texas Tech could do a few things with a win at Milan Puskar
