Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, many people are traveling back home, which usually means more cars on the road and busier airports, including Jacksonville International Airport.
When News4JAX arrived at the airport, it was business as usual inside, with more flights arriving than departing on Friday night after Thanksgiving.
Some travelers tell us they flew into town for tomorrow’s football game between Florida and Florida State. Others were visiting or returning home to Northeast Florida.
Travelers shared different experiences depending on where they flew out of. Some scheduled to leave Jacksonville tonight found their flights delayed until tomorrow.
Traveler Neil Shulman said, “Newark was packed. Newark was absolutely packed.”
