BILLINGS, Mont. – The historic Colonial Apartments on Billings' South Side, known for its troubled past, will soon be demolished. The building has been a focal point for health, safety and building code violations, leading the city to take legal action in 2023, requesting its demolition.
RiverStone Health confirmed plans to purchase and demolish the property by the end of this year. This decision comes after years of city officials pushing for repairs or demolition due to the building's deteriorating condition.
In a statement, RiverStone Health CEO Jon Forte shared their vision for the property.
