LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Black Friday shoppers lined up outside stores as early as 6 a.m. Nov. 28, determined to secure limited discount coupons for holiday and birthday gifts.

At the Outlet Shoppes of Laredo, people carried multiple bags and walked from store to store to secure items on their wish lists.

Christian Martinez, a Laredo resident, said the wait was worth it for the deals.

“The line went by pretty quickly and we got a lot of coupons for different stores,” Martinez said.

Some discounts exceeded 50 percent when coupled with coupons. Martinez was able to find a deal for his mother’s birthday gift.

“Original price was 180 and it ended up being 80 bucks,” Martinez said.
