MADISON, Wis. -- A man was declared AWOL from the Dane County Jail Diversion Program after cutting off his GPS monitoring bracelet Friday night, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said.
Ronald Beck Jr., 45, was declared AWOL at 7:30 p.m. Deputies went to check on him after receiving a tampering alert from his monitoring bracelet. The bracelet was found cut off and attempts to locate Beck have proven unsuccessful.
Beck's last recorded location was on Madison's north side near Marcy Road and Woodward Drive. He is a white man, 5'9" tall, weighing 225lbs with brown eyes and a buzzed haircut.
Online court records show Beck was sentenced on Nov. 17 to 50 days in jail with Huber privileges after pleading guilty to possessing methamphetamine.
