FOSTORIA — Jeremiah Fuller’s 23-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Ali Beydoun with 1:55 left gave Central Catholic’s football team a 21-20 win over Cuyahoga Falls Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy in an OHSAA Division III state football semifinal on Friday at Fostoria High School.
CVCA’s Luke McQuillen missed a 29-yard field goal as time expired as Central Catholic held on.
Central Catholic (11-4) advanced to its fourth-straight state final after a remarkable comeback. The Fighting Irish trailed 20-7 entering the fourth quarter.
