JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Glynn County Police Department announced Friday that a man was arrested after allegedly attempting to kidnap two 12-year-old girls on Nov. 27.

GCPD said officers responded to the area of Burnett Road near New Jesup Highway after a 911 call was made reporting that an adult man, later identified as 21-year-old Evert Luna, had approached two young girls and attempted to grab their arms to get them to go with him.

According to the announcement, patrol officers quickly located the suspect, who was still in the area, and detained him. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division also responded, interviewing witnesses, the suspect, and gathering additional evidence.

Police say Luna has been charged with two counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes.
