The Colorado Avalanche may very well be the most dominant team in the National Hockey League, but the Minnesota Wild proved to be hotter when the two met on Black Friday in St. Paul.
Minnesota beat the Avs 3-2 in a shootout to extend its win streak to seven and unbeaten streak to 10 games.
Kirill Kaprizov, who scored the overtime winner to beat Chicago on Wednesday night, netted his 15th and 16th goals of the season Friday against the Avs. His goals came in a span of 6:03 in the second period.
After a scoreless overtime, the Wild beat Colorado in the shootout thanks to Mats Zuccarello and Matt Boldy, while Jesper Wallstedt made saves on Nathan McKinnon and Cale Makar to seal the victory.
