DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - A Danville home was damaged by a fire, and the occupants are being helped by the American Red Cross, according to the Danville Fire Department.
Around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning, November 28, 2025, fire department personnel, the Danville Life Saving Crew, and Danville PD responded to a home at 327 W. Main St. to a report of a fire.
The first unit arrived to four residents outside the home; there was no smoke coming out of the building, said the Danville Fire Department.
Crews went inside the home and found smoke and a small fire in the basement; they targeted the fire behind the home and extinguished the flames with the help of a melted waterline, according to officials.
The basement suffered moderate smoke, fire, and water damage. Units remained on the scene for
