TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The first half of the Territorial Cup in Tempe turned out to be a defensive battle.

After a scoreless first quarter, Arizona State quarterback Jeff Sims started the scoring with a 27 yard touchdown run a little more than four minutes into the second quarter.

The score at the half is 7-3 in favor of Arizona State.

The rivalry game has not seen these two teams successful in the same season in more than a decade.

The last time both teams had eight wins heading into the game was 2014.

Both teams are also ranked at the same time. ASU is number 20 and Arizona is ranked 25.
