AEW CEO Tony Khan has officially announced the main event for the upcoming Winter Is Coming special edition of AEW Dynamite . On Wednesday, December 10, Samoa Joe will defend the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston.

The match was made official following the events of the special Thanksgiving edition of AEW Collision . Kingston secured the title opportunity after defeating Katsuyori Shibata in a hard-hitting contest. Following his victory over Shibata, who is a fellow member of Joe’s “The Opps” faction, Kingston delivered an impassioned promo challenging the champion directly.
