STONEWALL, La. (KSLA) - A 35-year-old Shreveport woman died Thursday from injuries sustained in a crash two days earlier when a commercial truck ran a red light and struck her vehicle.
Brandy Thomas was pronounced deceased on Nov. 28 at a local hospital, according to Louisiana State Police Troop G. She had been hospitalized since the Nov. 26 crash on U.S. Highway 171 near Griffin Drive.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m. when Thomas was stopped at a red light in the right lane of Highway 171 at Griffin Drive. A 2015 Freightliner Cascadia traveling south on Highway 171 in the right lane failed to stop at the red light and collided with Thomas’ 2024 Nissan Altima.
