STORMTRACK 3 FORECAST:
The very beginnings of a powerful winter storm have begun moving into the area this Friday evening and will continue spreading east across the region through the night. A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for all of our area until Sunday morning, signaling a prolonged period of heavy snowfall and impacted travel conditions. A general 6-8" of snowfall looks likely with higher totals possible across North Iowa and further south. Following the snow storm, brutal cold will spread across the region as high temperatures remain limited to teens and low 20s over the next couple days.
Despite the cooler than normal temps, the next workweek looks to be on the calmer side with very few chances for additional snow. Mostly cloudy conditions could bring a few flurries here
