ROCHESTER, Minn.-The Apache Mall says thousands of customers came out to participate in Black Friday deals on Friday, Nov. 28.
According to Mark Turany, general manager of JCPenney, the holiday brings in around 10,000 customers for his store every year to buy jewelry, clothing and shop at the salon.
To celebrate Apache's busiest day of the year, he says his store held a several giveaways for free jewelry and coupons for 10 percent off a $100 item.
"It's an event that's like our Super Bowl, it's a big event. They're happy, they're shopping, they're having fun, it's a wonderful experience," Turany said.
Jenny Arnes, co-owner of Made 4 You, a new store that opened at the mall this November, says she feels lucky to be part of the holiday shopping.
