Sometimes, a switch flipping in a football game is subtle.

In the PIAA 3A semifinal Friday night at Exeter Township, it stood out like a neon sign.

After entering the second half tied with Trinity, defending state champions Northwestern Lehigh erupted in the second half, scoring 35 unanswered points to advance to another state title game, and halt the Shamrocks’ dream season in its tracks with a 48-13 win.

Braxton Lakatosh led the way for Northwestern Lehigh, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
