OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The snowy weather is throwing a wrench in some small business owners’ plans in the metro.

Midwest Fest, an outdoor holiday market in Heartland of America Park, is facing some delays.

Tomorrow, the market will start later than initially planned. Then, Sunday will be a longer day -- to make up for the lost time.

For vendors, Midwest Fest is one of the last events of its kind they have in the year.

Council Bluffs declares snow emergency parking ban as flurries begin falling

They rely on sales there this week and next week to help them get through the slow season after the holidays, which lasts until April, when outdoor events kick up again.

Some of them have faith that people will show up this weekend. Others have their doubts.
