Money-saving champion Martin Lewis has revealed a crucial three-digit code that could protect bank customers from fraudsters. The consumer expert is campaigning to spread awareness of the number in a bid to cut the number of people falling victim to scams.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter ) in May, he explained the code - 159. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from your bank but suspect it might be fraudulent, you can dial the number to be connected directly to the genuine bank without any fuss.
