BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Springville man was arraigned Wednesday on multiple felony charges accusing him of sexually abusing a child over a period of more than a year, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office .
Joseph F. Decker, 65, appeared in Erie County Court on an indictment charging him with one felony count of predatory sexual assault against a child; one violent felony count of sexual conduct against a child; one violent felony count of sexual abuse; and one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors allege that between June 20, 2024, and Sept. 19, 2025, Decker "engaged in acts of sexual conduct with a child who was less than 13-years-old at a location in the Village of Springville" and that "the defendant was known to the victim."
