SALISBURY — With thousands of spectators, this year’s Salisbury ‘Tis the Season Spectacular lived up to its name. Following the parade festivities, the city of Salisbury dedicated the annual Christmas tree in Bell Tower Green to former Mayor Karen Alexander, who died last December while still in office.
The parade started at 3 p.m. running from the intersection of North Main and Kerr streets all the way to the Stallings Memorial Baptist Church. With 138 parade participants, there was variety in what went down Main Street. From go-karts to dance performances to semi trucks, the street was filled from start to finish.
