Harrison Kidder typified the rabid nature of the Catholic High defense on Friday.
One half after limiting Alexandria to a pair of field goals, Catholic exploded for a 27-point third quarter to fuel a stretch of 44 unanswered points in a 44-6 Division I select state quarterfinal at Memorial Stadium.
Kidder’s interception was part of the defense’s five turnovers, which enabled Catholic’s defense to set up 27 of the team’s points in a perfect display of complementary football.
“There’s a lot of dogs on defense,” said Kidder, a UL commitment. “A bunch of guys flying around, making plays.”
