The Rockport-Fulton football team saw its postseason run come to an end Nov. 28 after a 48-27 loss to Cuero in the Class 4A Division II regional semifinals at Buccaneer Stadium.

The game was a rematch of a district battle earlier this season that the Pirates won in dramatic fashion.

Rockport-Fulton kept this game close for nearly three quarters, but the Gobblers were able to pull away behind explosive plays from running back Camelo Perez.

Perez' four rushing touchdowns fueled the Gobblers, who scored 27 second-half points.

"Unless you win the whole thing, you're going to feel this way at some point in the season," Rockport-Fulton coach Eric Soza said. "I'm super proud of the way our guys played."

Zane Rios, Traey Alvarado, Jaxon Keown and Reid Snyder fueled Rockport-Fulton offensively
