It was recently announced that rural pubs would be able to benefit from new government funding that will allow them to further help their local communities.

The Plan for Change project will see the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) commit £440,000 towards all sorts of projects that pub owners are diversifying with. Whilst amazing news, and a welcome relief to many of these pubs who can do with the extra help, it's also important to champion the great work that's also being done in the city.

For our ongoing Pub of the Week feature, we've already ventured to the likes of Didsbury , Stalybridge , and Cheadle , so it felt only right that this week, we head into the hive of all activity that is the city centre.
