FLOYDADA, Texas (KCBD) - The New Home Leopards (10-3) fought through a second-half deficit for the second week in a row. However, this effort fell short as they lost to the West Texas Comanches 26-19.

The Leopards took an early 7-0 lead when QB Brayson Beck connected with TE Avin Madrid for the 6yd TD. West Texas QB Cayde Winters was a force in Floydada Friday afternoon, as he accounted for three Comanche scores. While trailing 18-7 in the third, Ryder Starkey powered across the goal line to bring New Home within five. Late in the fourth, the Leopards made it a one-score game once more when Colby Cook raced to the corner to make the score 26-19. With one minute to play, Winters rushed for a first down deep in New Home territory and was able to burn the clock.
