A special nativity service is set to take place in Aberdeen's Union Terrace Gardens as part of the city's Christmas festivities.

The Lord Provost of Aberdeen , Dr David Cameron, will welcome local schools and members of the public for the service on Monday (December 1) at 10.30am.

The Lord Provost said: “The nativity scene serves as a reminder of hope, kindness, and unity for all. I am looking forward to singing carols alongside our young people, who each year sing beautifully and help spread the festive cheer.”

The ceremony will be led by Aberdeen Churches Together, which is made up of multi-cultural religious groups from across the city. Councillor Martin Greig will close the ceremony with a vote of thanks.
