LOCKNEY, Texas (KCBD) - The No. 2 Klondike Cougars (13-0) are now set for their rematch with No. 1 Jayton. On Friday, the Cougars overcame a slow start to beat No. 5 Miami 60-36. The Warriors also came into the game with a 12-0 record.

Miami opened the game with a 12-0 with two scores from freshman Chance White. The Cougars took their first lead late in the second half with two scores from Jared Quintanilla- the first a TD run, the second was a pass to Luke Smith.

Now, only one game separates both Klondike and Jayton for a trip to AT&T Stadium for the state championship. In last year’s matchup, the Jaybirds pulled away for a 90-48 win.
