TWO Scottish stadiums have been included in the UK’s bid to host the Women’s World Cup in 2035.
Hampden Park, in Glasgow, and Easter Road, in Edinburgh , are among the grounds to be put forward to hold matches if the UK is successful in its bid to host the tournament.
Games would be played in 22 stadiums in 15 cities across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, if the bid is successful.
Sixteen of the 22 stadiums included in the bid are in England, with three in Wales, two in Scotland and one in Northern Ireland.
The four UK associations officially submitted their bid to stage the 48-team finals to FIFA on Friday. The UK proposal is the sole bid to host the tournament.
