Amelia “Millie” Nadauld, Snow Canyon High School’s standout track and field star, signed her letter of intent Nov. 20 to compete for Brigham Young University.
“Everyone's like, ‘Oh, it's so obvious,’” Nadauld said during her remarks before a crowd of dozens of friends, coaches and family members. “Well, for me, it was a hard decision.”
Nadauld thanked Snow Canyon head track coach Justin Redfearn for getting her started in the sport and coaching her the past several years.
“Coach Redfearn, I just want to thank you for introducing me to the sport,” she said. “I remember you came over to my house one day when I was about 10. You registered me for my first race, and I didn't even know what I was doing.”
