Winter is just around the corner in Zion National Park. And every year, the National Park Service adjusts shuttle schedules and campground availability to reflect the seasons.
Check the park website before visiting as conditions can change rapidly.
According to a news release from the National Park Service, winter visitation hours and accessibility change and winter weather impacts where you can and can't go. Holiday weekends are busy in Zion. Visitors should anticipate the following over Thanksgiving weekend and in general during holiday weekends:
Lengthy waits to board park shuttles in Springdale and Zion National Park.
Long lines at entrance stations, visitor centers, restrooms and trailheads.
Heavy traffic in Springdale and throughout the park.
