A woman who thought she had a severe stomach bug was stunned when she got to the hospital and saw what the scans revealed.
Jasmin Llamas, 33, had just found out she was expecting baby number two when she became unwell. She was around four weeks pregnant at the time, and she suddenly couldn’t keep anything down.
For many days, Llamas, of California, experienced extreme nausea, fatigue, and couldn’t stop shaking. She told Newsweek that she thought she had “stomach flu or food poisoning,” and even water proved to be a trigger.
“It had been about three days of not being able to hold any food or liquids down, so I decided to head to the emergency room,” Llamas said. “I was so weak, I couldn’t stand or stop shaking.”
Llamas was hoping to be given IV fluids and medication before being sent
