A severe weather warning is in place for Saturday as a band of heavy rain makes its way across parts of the UK bringing travel disruption and potential flooding.
The rain is expected to bring up to 60 mm in some areas, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather warning , issued by the Met Office , is in place from 6am on Saturday until midnight covering the East Midlands, North East England Yorkshire and Humber.
The warning stated there is a chance some areas could be flooded while power supplies could be interrupted.
Aiden McGivern, a Met Office meteorologist, said: “We start things off with another low pressure, another area of rain moving into much of England and Wales first thing Saturday.
“That’s going to be particularly heavy and persistent across Wales and the South West
