British holidaymakers have been warned that they could face disruption if travelling this weekend as an update is carried out on some planes that several UK airlines have in their fleet. British Airways, Jet2 and easyJet are among those to have issued statements to customers.

A software update is being issued in some Airbus A320 aircraft as a "precautionary" measure after one of these planes was forced to make an emergency landing last month. At least 15 passengers were left injured after the JetBlue A320 aircraft suddenly dropped in altitude, forcing it to divert to Florida.
