Decorating the Christmas tree can often be a source of stress and the cause of many a domestic dispute at the best of times. From untangling fairy lights and selecting baubles to deciding where to place the tree in the lounge - it's rarely straightforward .

Fortunately, in a bid to ease such tensions and dilemmas, one woman brimming with festive cheer has offered her five top "simple tricks" that will help you "decorate your tree like a pro". Posting on Reddit, Katherine began a post by revealing: "Even though I am a teacher I worked as a florist before my teaching career. I learned some of the simple tricks of the trade to make your tree look killer."
