Drivers on a busy section of the M25 have been warned to expect hour-long delays on the UK's busiest motorway after a huge crash. National Highways had posted on X: "3 lanes of 4 are currently out on #M25 anti-clockwise between J8-J7 due to a collision.

"Delays are around 30 minutes but likely to increase. We will keep you updated, but please allow extra travelling time. But in a new update, National Highways has warned drivers to expect delays of "60 minutes above normal travel time" and to allow additional time if travelling in the area. The traffic chaos for drivers comes with torrential rain falling throughout most of the UK and the Met Office issuing yellow weather warnings for 77 areas.
