Alex Scott was the first celebrity to be sent packing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! after facing the public vote. She faced a challenging time in the jungle, and got raw with her campmates, but one other aspect about her life Alex has opened up about in the past is the struggles she faced in her childhood. She released her memoir back in 2022 and described her father's alleged violent behaviour towards her mother.

She shared heartbreaking details of her memories as a child, admitting that she wanted to write about it to "free" her mum and for them to be able to get some peace. In her biography, How (Not) to Be Strong, she alleged her dad hit her mum while she and her brother were in bed.
