Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has issued a health update after undergoing some surgery that left her feeling "rough", and has teased her return to the ballroom (she was part of the first couple eliminated from this season, all the way back in early October).

The Welsh professional dancer appeared on last night's instalment of The One Show , where she revealed that she had another surgical removal on her breasts recently, which she previously stated was not because of a new cancer diagnosis .

Sitting on the sofa of the BBC One evening staple, Amy told hosts Alex Jones and Clara Amfo: "Do you know, I'm feeling really well, thank you. Three weeks ago yesterday, I had another mastectomy.

"The first week to 10 days [was] a bit rough, but every day [I'm] a bit better and strong
