Rod Stewart admitted that he and wife Penny Lancaster have “changed” one another after tying the knot back in 2007. Maggie May hitmaker Rod, 80, had been married twice before – first to Alana Stewart from 1979 until 1984 and then to Rachel Hunter from 1990 until 2006. But he met the love of his life in Penny.

Speaking to The Mirror, Rod confessed that the pair have taught each other things and evolved because of the age-gap between them. Penny, 54, is 26 years younger than her husband – and Rod admitted that does have its “downsides”. He said: “I think, to be honest with you, I think the age difference, there are downsides to the age difference, but not many. I think there's a maturity, I may have taught Pen, and there's a certain honesty that she's taught me.”
