ST. CHARLES, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Snow expected to move into the St. Louis area Saturday morning, might add to the festive feel of the holidays. It could also slow foot traffic on a day meant to drive business to mom-and-pop shops.
On St. Charles Historic Main Street, on Friday, many shoppers are pursuing the finds at the small businesses. It’s as St. Charles Christmas Traditions kicked off for this season.
Michelle Seifert, in town visiting her sister, Dawn Johnson, this holiday week, said a trip here to the area is part of the itinerary.
“It’s a tradition. We’ve done it for probably the last five, six years. We come here the day after Thanksgiving,” said Seifert.
“I’m all for supporting local small businesses.” Johnson said, “If you don’t do that, you know, the businesses won’t sust
