A drink-driver walking his dog was caught after greeting police officers.
David McKenna was spotted by officers in the driver's seat of a Jaguar at a playing field car park in Mount Road, Staffordshire, on October 11.
Prosecutor Helen Shipley told North Staffordshire Justice Centre: "The defendant was sitting in the driver's seat of a Jaguar in the car park at a playing field. The engine was off. Police parked on a corner and drove past the car park again.
They saw the defendant walking his dog in the Kidsgrove area. He flagged the police down. They wound down their window. He appeared to be drunk. He just said, 'Hello'.
