With a trio of daily records falling as part of the nearly 5 inches of precipitation measured at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport in mid-November, the Flagstaff area is off to one of the fastest starts for its water year in history.

Since the National Weather Service’s water year began on Oct. 1, a total of 8.45 inches of precipitation has been recorded at the airport, as well as 7.1 inches of snowfall. The precipitation ranks as the third most in history for the two-month period encompassing October and November, with only 1985’s 9.08 inches and 1972’s 12.20 inches higher on the list.
