Metro Detroit and parts of northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula are under a winter weather advisory, while the remaining parts of the state, including West Michigan, are under a winter storm warning, a ccording to the National Weather Service .

Southeast Michigan's winter weather advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 30.
