BOLIVAR, Mo. (KY3) -A Brighton man has died after suffering injuries in a crash near Bolivar, Mo., on Thursday, officials confirmed Friday night.

According to Bolivar Police , the crash happened near Missouri 13 and South 131st Road, south of Bolivar.

On Nov. 27, Bolivar PD and the Bolivar City Fire Department responded to a single-car wreck at around 3:30 p.m., police said.

The driver, John Glancy, was southbound in a 2018 Toyota pickup truck when he crashed into a retention pond located between Mo. 13 and the 4700 block of South 131st Road. Glancy had suffered serious injuries and was recovered from the water by first responders, according to officials.

Glancy, 44, later died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
