Two new yellow weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office for Greater Manchester. The forecaster has issued a yellow warning for ice from 10pm this evening (Saturday). The warnings covers our entire region, as well as parts of the East Midlands, North East England, West Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber and other parts of the north west.
The Met Office has warned that icy stretches could 'cause some disruption' tonight and up until the warning ends at 9am on Sunday morning. Temperatures are likely to drop to below freezing overnight.
The forecaster said: "Following rainfall earlier in the evening, surface temperatures are expected to fall widely below freezing. With surfaces left wet, ice is expected to form on untreated surfaces and may lead to hazardous travelling
