What you need to know about a common driving mistake that could cost you £1,000 fine

The RAC (Royal Automobile Club) has issued crucial advice about fog light usage in cars and how incorrect operation can result in drivers facing a substantial penalty, especially during the winter months due to the weather. It says you need to avoid a basic error to prevent being fined.

A video recently released by the RAC revealed: "You're probably using your fog lights wrong, and it could cost you £1,000. According to the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), you should only switch your fog lights on when visibility drops below 100 metres. That's about the length of a football pitch."
