CLEVELAND, Ohio – If that post-Thanksgiving logy feeling has come over your house and the little ones are bored, the Postal Service has a couple of suggestions.
First, USPS recommends this is a good weekend to have kids write to Santa. And with a cold and cloudy weekend in store, it’s not a bad indoor activity. Also, Operation Santa, a program that allows people to adopt letters to Santa to help brighten a family’s holiday, is open.
Writing to Santa
You need two different writing instruments, and two envelopes – one big enough to hold the other.
1. Have the child write to Santa. Put the note in an envelope addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole.
2. Without the little one noticing, write a personalized response. If your son or daughter is savvy enough, disguise your handwriting. Sign it:
