Every day, students line up to eat lunch thinking they are going to get good food, but really it’s not. Many lunches are served processed instead of fresh. For some students, lunch is their only meal of the day, and if that were me, I would want a good, nutritious meal. School lunches play a big role in students’ health, but the quality doesn’t meet the standards that we kids deserve. Young minds deserve real nutrition to be able to learn. It is unfair to ask students to concentrate and be present if they do not have the nutrients needed to do so.
Students can’t be the best they can be when their minds and bodies aren’t nourished the way they are supposed to be. Healthy foods help students focus, stay on task, stay alert,and give them energy throughout the day. When schools give students
