It is rare to see a display of such honest affection for one person as was seen recently as hundreds of Darby residents turned out to show their love for Frank Riccetti, a pillar of their community.
Officials unveiled a Franks Way street sign in honor of Riccetti, 75, owner of Franks Steaks at 227 Main St., where he has served the community with love for more than 50 years.
“He is a pillar of the community,” said Mayor Darren Burrell. “He actually really helps out and really cares, not just a business owner taking money, he is a big supporter of us.”
Supporters filled the street raving about the support Riccetti has shown the community. As they waited inside the shop, his wife, Yvonne, and family hustled to serve a full house of customers ordering steaks and burgers.
