Silver Mews Care Home in Redcar 'requires improvement' says CQC (Image: Google maps)

A North East care home has been told it requires improvement due to a number of safety and cleanliness concerns. Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission carried out an assessment at Silver Mews Care Home due to concerns raised regarding infection control, safe care and treatment, and governance.

In their report the inspectors said they found breaches of the legal regulations in relation to medicines management, infection prevention and control, and the safety of the environment. Teesside Live reports that issues highlighted by the inspectors included:
